THE COUTURE ISSUE
MOOD BOARD:
For our 3rd FALL Issue we were strongly influenced and inspired by the very talented fashion & portrait photographer, Patrick Demarchelier. We are in love with his diversity of using both in studio lighting & natural lighting abilities to create sets varying in both candid and staged emotion. For our third issue we would like to focus on Black & White Studio photography, on location couture and free flowing "unposed" photography.
The guidelines are as follows. Submissions WITHOUT Wardrobe & Team Credits (INCLUDING social and media links) will NOT be accepted. Please be mindful of our time and include all the information upon your submission to ensure a more successful outcome.
- The editorial MUST include a MIN. of 6 different looks (in total the amount of different outfit changes). There is no maximum outfit looks - the more the better the chance your editorial will be accepted. In order to submit Online Webitorial submissions please use our other submission platform or email us your editorial to:
theeditorialqc@gmail.com- Please DO NOT include wardrobe credits such as "Stylist's Own or Vintage or Thrift Shop" We have to know the label of each piece of clothing, even if the clothing does not have a label please assign it the most appropriate one upon your submission.
- The editorial should include relative fashion for Fall 2017/Winter 2018. We will not accept submissions including swimsuits or summer outfits if nothing else in the editorials styling says "fall" - this issue is to be release for the months of SEP - DEC 2017 so please style the shoot accordingly. We will allow summer outfits as long as they are paired with Fall forward styling.
- The editorial MUST include ALL Team Credits including website/social media links per team member. We would like to see more teamwork collaboration from each editorial. Meaning, please try to work with at least 1 model, makeup & hair stylist, wardrobe stylist and or set designer.
- The editorial MUST remain exclusive and unpublished/unseen (this means no sharing of the submitted material may be shared on social media, (aka instagram, twitter, facebook etc.) or on personal websites or blogs. If our team notices your editorial is shared online before the print issue is released on Sep. 15th you will be pulled out of the publication with no warning. (This goes for paid submissions as well!)
- Please submit ONLY the Highest Resolution Images you have. We welcome High Resolution JPG but we prefer TIFF or PNG with the shortest length being no smaller than 3000PX in 300DPI.
General rule of thumb is: if the image is any smaller than 16mpx then it is too small to be published in print.
- Since our graphic design work always varies for each editorial in the publication we DO NOT need to have 8.5"x11" cropped images. You may leave the images the same size as they come out of the camera, usually the standard size is 8"x12".
