Guidelines

- We are ONLY looking for editorial FASHION, and BEAUTY photography stories. Please do NOT send us portraits of your girlfriend, landscapes, cityscapes, still life or anything that is NOT specifically fashion or beauty.

- Fashion Editorials should feature AT MINIMUM SIX DIFFERENT OUTFITS aka LOOKS. Beauty shoots should have A MINIMUM of 5 different makeup or hairstyle changes.

- Use PROFESSIONAL MODELS

- Please visit our website to see the kinds of shoots we publish if the above is confusing.

- All submitted images must be final, retouched images.

- If we are interested, then we will contact you within a week.

- We will consider previously published work for digital.

- We will not publish images with watermarks.

- Team credits are essential for all submissions. Please be sure to double-check that all persons involved in the submission are included in the credits and their names are spelled correctly, along with the social media handles. If for any reason editorial is published with missing or incorrect credits - this is the submitter's responsibility.

- We prefer to receive submissions from the photographer, however, if you are not the photographer we will need a release from the photographer/copyright holder.

- Payment will not be refunded if you decide to cancel, or not publish, after submission is accepted.

- Submission of work acknowledges understanding and compliance with our policies and procedures.

About Pattern Magazine

Launched in 2012, PATTERN magazine is a fashion, culture and arts publication with a focus on editorial fashion and beauty photography.

PATTERN is both PRINT and DIGITAL.

The PRINT issues come out twice a year in the spring and fall. Our digital platform publishes stories and fashion editorials on a daily basis.

PATTERN magazine is published by PATTERN, a cultural and economic development 501c3 organization that exists to help creative entrepreneurs reach business success through education, networking and exposure in our print and digital publications.
