Puerto Rican creative, graphic designer, commercial, editorial, fashion, and portraiture photographer, high-end photo retoucher, and visual artist with more than 10 years of experience in the art industry.
Abimael Pérez began his career as a self-taught photographer as soon as he graduated from high school / secondary education in 2010. Always interested in the field of arts, he got accepted into college at Universidad del Sagrado Corazón and acquired a Bachelor of Arts in Communications: Creative and Digital Advertising. During his college years, Abimael felt passionate about the art of photography and started mixing and complimenting with his studies of advertising. He obtained a minor in Commercial Photography whilst studying for his Bachelor's Degree, specializing in advertising, editorial, fashion, and portraiture photography. Later, Abimael graduated from college in 2015 with both degrees.
In mid-2014, a year before graduating from college, Abimael got the opportunity to start working as an intern at Kroma Advertising & Public Relations. While working at the advertising agency he developed strong creativity and organizational skills, created integrated strategies that were developed and expanded to clients, brand/product evolution and media endorsement. This opportunity gave Abimael the platform to swell and ground in the industry that soon would become his home. A year later, Abimael got the opportunity to start working as a graphic designer at Arteaga & Arteaga Advertising until this day.
Over the course of his 10+-year career, Abimael continues to be inspire by everything from art history to street culture, from music to twenty-first century pop culture. Throughout it all, Abimael's hard work, dedication, and passion behind the camera gives him the opportunity to bring his message of hope to the forefront of all his efforts and to 'just be true to who you are.'
