Solis Magazine presents the 2018 Fashion Design Competition, sponsored by Fashion Week Brooklyn, is a freestyle design competition open to realized works designed by professional fashion designers in the fashion industry.

The competition’s objective is to assist emerging designers to navigate the waters of the fashion industry and use the opportunity as a platform to gain experience and exposure. Designers must showcase at least 4 different looks.

Voting Period

Voting begins at 12:00am EST on August 25, 2018 and ends at 11:59pm UTC on August 30, 2018 (the “Voting Period”). Votes submitted before or after the Voting Period will not be eligible.

Judging Criteria

The best designs are selected according to form and functional aspects of the apparel; the fashion designs are considered for their degree of innovation, aesthetic qualities, choice of materials and fabric, realization techniques and sustainability criteria.

A showcase at FWBK SS/2019 Collection Oct 2018 with all fees waived (a value of $2,500)

RESULTS
All results will be posted on Solismagazine.com. Professional Critiques on work will be available upon request. The Winner must provide there own transportation and lodging to and while in New York.
