****SUBMISSION GUIDELINES PLEASE READ***
Once a submission is accepted by Swanky Kids Magazine, you will receive a link to our release form which will have to be signed by the Photographer. If the release form is not completed before the deadline, we reserve the right to pull that submission from our issue without your consent.

Photo editorial submissions will need to come with a pre-edited and curated selection of imagery. Your editorial must be cohesive, all from the same shoot to tell a story. If you want a wow, feel of your Landscape photo on a double page, make sure your subject is not centered to avoid part of the image being hidden when binding the magazine.

Please submit images with NO LOGOS or WATERMARKS! (Any submissions with Logos or watermarks will be automatically rejected)

Please ensure you also include and title and share all associated credits you would like published in the editorial. We will not be responsible for typos, errors, and missing credits.

All submissions should be between 4-12 images. If your submissions are over 10 images, we won’t publish all images, a maximum of 8 and a minimum of 2 will be chosen, unless it is a cover story or special feature. We use mostly portrait images, the Lesser the landscape the better. Unless it is intended for a double-page spread.

PLEASE NOTE IMAGES CAN & WILL BE CROPPED TO FIT THE MAGAZINE LAYOUT. (However, we strive to maintain the best image possible) We also advise adequate edging in your image to allow for cropping.

Make sure this is your final decision to submit your work to Swanky Kids Magazine. If you want to remove any images after release, there will be a cancellation fee of £80 as we will have to redesign the magazine completely.

The sorts of images we prefer:
* Unusual and creative ideas
* Good editing with professional-looking skin work
* Variety in the posing, angles, and composition
* Professional make-up
* Cover story - Sharp images

Rejection Reasons:
* Noisy images/out-of-focus
* There is little, or no space left for the issue you have submitted to.
* Bad skin editing - waxing face (using automated software)
* Your work is either unsuitable or does not fit with the flow of the issue.
* There is little or no space left for placement.
* The quality of work is not high enough or not to standard.
* Wardrobe is repeated throughout the editorial.
* The submission doesn’t fit the theme for the issue.
* Photos containing nudity will not be considered for Spellbound Fairytales & Fantasy or any of our social media sites.
* Repeated poses & expressions.
* Images containing watermarks.
* You have not supplied enough images to create a story.

If your images have been published in another magazine, please don’t send us the same images at the same time as you will be rejected.

Feel free to follow us on Instagram, to gain an understanding of the type of stories we like to publish.

Please get in touch with our team at info@swankykidsmag.com for more information.

WRITTEN SUBMISSIONS
Written submissions should be at least 500 words and come with a selection of supplied imagery. Specifically, imagery that you have the rights to use.
We prefer submissions to be less than 2,000 words and, better, around 1,000, especially if it's short fiction.

FILM SUBMISSIONS
Our YouTube channel is a live performance space. We’re always looking for ways to promote and support creatives, and we would love to feature you here.

If you wish to send us a video, here are a few guidelines.

The shooting format should be 1080 x 30 frames.

GENERAL NOTES ON FILMING
Film in landscape mode, not portrait.

Please make sure you are in a quiet environment

Please make sure your face is well lit, i.e., don’t film with your back to a window or you’ll appear in a silhouette.

Once you press record, wait 2 seconds before speaking. Don’t push stop until 2 seconds after you’ve finished speaking.

When completed, please email info@swankykidsmag.com with the file or link. (Dropbox or G Drive) and provide us with a link.

*** PURCHASE ***
