Submissions guidelines:

- primarily underwater (pool, open water, or otherwise)
- or split (under/over)
- focused on people (wildlife or landscape only images will NOT be accepted)
- Artistic nudity is acceptable
- No watermarks or logos

Filmmakers, please email your submission to info@waterproofmag.org along with high resolution screenshots showcasing key scenes in your film.

** Editorial Submissions **

"An Editorial Photoshoot is a series of thematically connected images, that can tell a story"

Whilst there is no theme requirement, we require a collection of images that have similar stylings or tell a story.

Here's some tips to help you know what we're after:

Submit images that have a cohesive theme, eg:

- same model with different poses/compositions
- similar colour schemes - similar lighting styles
- tells a story
- We're looking for artist pieces, so think "would a stranger put this on their wall?" or "does this convey a story?"

Please don't submit images that don't relate to each other, we're not after your portfolio - just a series from it. You may go back through your own body of work and find images that suit a theme or topic.

We have strict quality requirements in terms of posing, composition, editing, lighting, and colour grading - so please include only your best work. Please include all credits for the images including models and other crew, as well as a short bio of yourself.

** How to Submit **

Submit a minimum of 4 & a maximum of 10 photographs that fit the criteria outlined above. Images must be 3300px longest side and in JPG format.

Be aware that we may crop images to fit our print layout.

Fill out the photo release document and upload it in the form below: https://waterproofmag.org/documents/

Fill out full credits for the images with Instagram handles, listing at least the phographer and model featured in each image submitted - reference the filename so we know who to credit on each photograph.

Submissions without proper credits will not be accepted.

Please Note: If you were published in our last volume, there's a high chance you WON'T be included in this volume as we like to keep the contents fresh - but please feel free to enter the next one.

** Submission Fee **

The submission fee is to cover our admin costs to produce the magazine. Paying it does not guarantee your work will be published and is non-refundable.

Note: Please know that if your work isn't accepted this time it isn't the end of the world and we absolutely encourage you to submit other work next time.
